John P. Williamson Memorial Fund

The John P. Williamson Memorial Scholarship Fund was established to honor the life and legacy of John P. Williamson, an FDNY firefighter who tragically lost his life on September 11, 2001. This fund pays tribute to John’s courage, service, and sacrifice by supporting the education of students whose families share a similar commitment to fire, rescue, and emergency service.

John P. Williamson Memorial Scholarship
The John P. Williamson Memorial Scholarship is awarded annually to graduating seniors from Warwick Valley High School who are children of individuals involved in fire, rescue, or emergency medical service during the September 11, 2001 rescue efforts.

Each year, two (2) scholarships in the amount of $1,000 each are awarded—one to a young man and one to a young woman.
