Cornwall Central High School Scholars Fund Scholarships

The Cornwall Central High School Scholars Fund Scholarships were established by Cornwall native Jim Duff, Class of 1966, to recognize exceptional academic achievement among graduating seniors of Cornwall Central High School. Three scholarships are awarded annually to students who demonstrate academic excellence, intellectual rigor, and a willingness to challenge themselves through advanced coursework.

The degree of difficulty of a student’s academic program is a key factor in the selection process, including consideration of college-level courses taken locally as well as extracurricular involvement.

The following awards are available:

  • Top Mathematics Scholar Award – $1,250
Awarded to a student who has pursued a rigorous mathematics course load and demonstrated the highest level of achievement, including college-level mathematics coursework where applicable.
  • Top Science Scholar Award – $1,250
Awarded to a student who has pursued a rigorous science course load and demonstrated the highest level of achievement, including college-level science coursework where applicable.
  • Top Scholar Award – $2,500
Awarded to a student who has challenged themselves with a rigorous overall academic program and performed at the highest level of achievement. This award is not necessarily based on highest GPA, but rather on academic rigor, performance, and extracurricular involvement.
