Daniel Thalmann Scholarship Fund

Date Established: August 4, 2022

Daniel “Danny” Thalmann was a caring and dedicated son, father, grandfather, and friend. His dedication began earlier in life as he served on the Coast Guard for three years. His life’s work was his business, Thalmann’s Service Center. He was a member of the Republican Party for ten years, Liberty Elks Lodge for 34 years, and a proud member of the Liberty Lions Club for 14 years where he proudly sat as their Vice President. He was a recipient of the Paul Harris Fellow award and numerous other community honors for his dedication to improving the lives of others.

Established in memory of Danny, a devoted father, business owner, and Liberty community member, the Daniel Thalmann Scholarship Fund for the Liberty Lions Club will award scholarships to graduating seniors from Sullivan County high schools who are furthering their educations at a trade school.

The scholarship will be promoted by Sullivan County high schools and available through the CFOS online portal. The fund representatives will evaluate the applicants and recommend recipients.
