This fund awards scholarships annually to graduating high school students from New York and New Jersey pursuing a degree in nursing or other allied health services.

John and Deb Rath Health Services Scholarship

The John and Deb Rath Health Services Scholarship provides scholarship support to students from the Hudson Valley region of New York and New Jersey who are pursuing degrees in nursing or other allied health fields. Eligibility and award details are established by the fund.

Up to two (2) scholarships in the amount of $2,000 each are awarded annually.

Eligibility & Application Requirements

Applicants must:

• Be a high school senior or an adult learner continuing their education
• Be a resident of New York or New Jersey within the Hudson Valley region
• Be pursuing a degree in nursing or another allied health field
• Demonstrate participation in community service

Adult learners must also:

• Be employed full-time or part-time in a medical or healthcare facility

Applications are submitted through the Community Foundation of Orange, Sullivan & Rockland’s online scholarship portal as part of the annual universal scholarship cycle.
