Michelle Renee Bratton Memorial Scholarship Fund

Date Established: June 4, 2014

 

Created to celebrate the life of Michelle Renee Bratton who tragically lost her life on September 11, 2001 in the World Trade Center attacks. This fund provides a scholarship to a young woman graduating from Pine Bush High School who, like Michelle, is a member of the National Honor Society and either an athlete on the women’s swimming and diving team or a member of chorus.


Michelle Renee Bratton Memorial Scholarship

The Michelle Renee Bratton Memorial Scholarship awards one (1) $2,500 scholarship annually to a graduating senior from Pine Bush High School. This scholarship supports young women who demonstrate academic excellence, dedication, and involvement in school activities, reflecting Michelle’s determination, leadership, and well-rounded pursuits.

Preference is given to students attending a State University of New York (SUNY) four-year college or university. Additional preference is given to students who, like Michelle, are members of the National Honor Society and who participate either as athletes on the women’s swimming and diving team or as members of chorus.

Eligibility & Application Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Be a young woman graduating from Pine Bush High School
  • Plan to enroll in a four-year college or university, with preference given to SUNY institutions
  • Confirm eligibility for the preference criteria related to:
    • National Honor Society membership
    • Participation in women’s swimming and diving or chorus

Students must create a profile in the CFOSR Scholarship Portal to view and apply for scholarship opportunities connected to this fund. Once logged in, applicants will be able to access the Universal Scholarship Application and complete the required eligibility confirmation.
