The Nebrasky Foundation Scholarship supports students and residents of the Hudson Valley who are pursuing educational and career pathways beyond high school. The Foundation is committed to expanding access to opportunity by supporting a wide range of postsecondary options, including college, vocational and career or technical education, and apprenticeship programs for skilled trades.

Scholarship funds may be applied toward tuition, training, and essential apprenticeship-related expenses such as tools, uniforms, and required materials. Through this investment, the Nebrasky Foundation seeks to reduce financial barriers, promote self-sufficiency, and encourage the development of positive life skills that support long-term personal and professional success.

Nebrasky Foundation Scholarship

The Nebrasky Foundation Scholarship awards scholarships of varying amounts, up to $2,500, to residents of the Hudson Valley pursuing education or training beyond high school. This scholarship supports students following diverse pathways, including college, vocational or career and technical education, and apprenticeships for skilled trades. Funding may also be used to assist with related expenses such as tools, uniforms, and other necessary materials.

Eligibility & Application Requirements

Applicants must:

• Be a resident of the Hudson Valley
• Plan to pursue one of the following:
  • College or university education
  • Vocational or career and technical training
  • An apprenticeship in a skilled trade

Applicants are required to complete the following as part of the application:

• Short Answer Questions, responding to:
  • Where they plan to attend school or begin their apprenticeship
  • Their short-term goals after graduation (further education or entering the workforce)
  • What inspired them to choose their career path
  • Any previous work experience
  • Where they envision themselves in 5–10 years
• Personal Statement / Essay (400–600 words), choosing one of the following prompts:
  • A life-defining event or moment that significantly impacted them
  • An obstacle or roadblock they overcame to achieve their goals
  • A role model who has inspired them and influenced their life
• Two letters of recommendation:
  • One personal
  • One professional or educational
• Mandatory interview with the scholarship committee

Students must create a profile in the CFOSR Scholarship Portal to view and apply for scholarship opportunities connected to this fund. Once logged in, applicants will be able to access the Universal Scholarship Application and submit any required materials.
