The Robert A. Adler Memorial Scholarship honors the life and legacy of Robert A. Adler—a devoted father, loyal friend, passionate entrepreneur, and proud graduate of the Clarkstown Central School District. Robert believed that success is not defined by a traditional college degree, but by character, perseverance, and a commitment to helping others. He built his legacy through heart, hustle, and integrity, leaving a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.
This scholarship supports students who embody those same values and who are forging their own path toward personal or professional success, particularly through skilled trades, service, entrepreneurship, or other nontraditional pursuits.
Eligibility & Application Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be a graduating senior from the Clarkstown Central School District
- Be pursuing a nontraditional post-secondary path, such as:
- Trade or vocational training
- Community college
- Military or public service
- Entrepreneurship or launching a small business
- Demonstrate integrity, resilience, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to helping others
Applicants must also submit:
- An essay (300–500 words) responding to the prompt:
“How do you hope to build a meaningful life? Share how integrity, perseverance, and/or your dreams for the future have shaped your goals.” - One letter of recommendation (teacher, coach, employer, or mentor)
Students must create a profile in the CFOSR Scholarship Portal to view and apply for scholarship opportunities connected to this fund. Once logged in, applicants will be able to access the Universal Scholarship Application and submit any required materials.
