The Isaac and Ruthe Silberman Legal Profession Scholarship Fund/The Herbert J. Avrutis and Ruthe Silberman Medical Scholarship Fund

Date Established: June 4, 2014

Created through a bequest, this scholarship fund will provide tuition assistance to Monticello High School students involved in the district’s “College in the Classroom” Program. 


Herbert J. Avrutis and Ruthe Silberman Medical Scholarship

The Herbert J. Avrutis and Ruthe Silberman Medical Scholarship awards one (1) scholarship in the amount of $1,000 to a graduating senior from Monticello High School who is pursuing a degree in the healthcare field. Established through a bequest, this scholarship supports students who have participated in the district’s College in the Classroom program and demonstrate financial need.

Eligibility & Application Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Be a graduating senior from Monticello High School
  • Plan to pursue a degree in the healthcare field
  • Have participated in the Monticello Central School District’s SUPA College in the Classroom Program, specifically within the Human Services strand
  • Demonstrate financial need

Students must create a profile in the CFOSR Scholarship Portal to view and apply for scholarship opportunities connected to this fund. Once logged in, applicants will be able to access the Universal Scholarship Application and submit all required materials.


Isaac and Ruthe Silberman Legal Profession Scholarship

The Isaac and Ruthe Silberman Legal Profession Scholarship awards one (1) scholarship in the amount of $1,000 to a graduating senior from Monticello High School who is pursuing a career in law.
