Stacey Muller is the Director of Finance and Operations of the Community Foundation of Orange, Sullivan and Rockland. As the Director of Finance, Stacey is responsible for all the accounting and reporting for the Foundation as well as each respective component fund. She is also the point person for Donor Initiated fundraising and ensuring compliance within the IRS Guidelines, as well as payroll, and many other office needs. Stacey is an Orange County native with a strong background in bookkeeping practices and accounting principles. Stacey is a 1992 graduate of Orange County Community College with an AAS Degree in Business Management. After working in the construction field for over 20 years, Stacey joined the Community Foundation in 2007 and has become quite adept using the foundations newest software Community Suite (CSuite) that the Foundation utilizes for the allocation and accounting for all our funds. Stacey passed the Certified Nonprofit Accounting Professional Advanced Course and continues to stay CNAP Certified. She also participates on the NY Funders Alliance Chief Finance and Administrative Officers Roundtable quarterly meetings with other nonprofits in the region. In addition to her work at CFOSR, Stacey was recently appointed to the Village of Maybrook Zoning Board of Appeals. Stacey currently resides in Maybrook with her husband Kenneth Muller.
Julie Sadowski, a long time Rockland resident, was the Executive Director of the Rockland Community Foundation. Her career has spanned both the for profit and nonprofit sectors where she has focused on development, donor relations and marketing. Julie’s tenure within the Rockland County nonprofit community is strong, with past leadership roles at the Rockland County Office for the Aging, JCC Rockland, Center for Safety & Change and The Hudson Valley Children’s Museum. She has served as a co-facilitator of the Western Ramapo Collaborative and most recently is a Co-Chair of the Rockland Business Association Women’s Leadership Council and a member of the Jewish Federation of Rockland Community Council. She is also a graduate of Leadership Rockland (class of 2001/best class ever!)
A graduate of Hobart & William Smith College, Julie was a Geology major (yes, you read that correctly) who originally aspired to be a meteorologist. However, the jet-stream geared her towards a different professional path that included over 12 years in the photo industry (ILFORD Photo) where she served as Marketing Communications Manager. When her children were young, Julie decided to pursue work in the nonprofit sector, where she could enjoy more flexibility (to be with her children) and pursue a more meaningful line of work.
Her personal passions include reading, skiing, laughing and gardening. A graduate of Suffern High School, Julie still resides in Suffern with her husband John and facially gifted dog, Harley. She has two caring and accomplished children, her daughter Alix and son Mike.
Lisa Mitchell is the Programs and Donor Services Coordinator at the Community Foundation of Orange, Sullivan and Rockland, where she serves as the go-to expert for managing scholarships, grants, and donor partnerships. From building applications to awarding funds, Lisa ensures every dollar finds its way to students and nonprofits who need it most. She’s also the behind-the-scenes engine for special projects and collaborations, connecting donors with community needs and amplifying the Foundation’s impact.
With over a decade of experience in program coordination, customer service, revenue growth, and operations management, Lisa brings both strategy and heart to everything she does. Her career is grounded in a deep commitment to service and a talent for building meaningful relationships.
When she’s not streamlining processes or supporting community initiatives, Lisa can be found on the dance floor—she’s a proud Zumba enthusiast who once turned her love of movement into a successful fundraiser for the Alzheimer’s Association.
Lisa holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations, Advertising, and Applied Communications from SUNY New Paltz (cum laude) and an Associate of Applied Science in Marketing from SUNY Orange, where she also received a Certificate of Merit for outstanding academic achievement.
Originally from the Bronx, she now lives in Monroe, where she continues to find new ways to bring energy, empathy, and a touch of rhythm to her community.
Christine is the CFOSR Finance and Database Coordinator. She supports the Director of Finance and Operations with deposit processing and record maintenance for donors, supporters, and volunteers. She coordinates fund disbursements and grants, prepares accurate reports, collaborates online fundraising campaigns, and serves as the primary liaison for donor-hosted events. She is a graduate of SUNY Albany where she earned her BA in Finance and Management as well as her MBA concentrating in HR Information Systems. Her professional experience is broad and extensive. She began her career in finance where she worked with boutique brokerage firms in both sales and equity analysis. After earning her MBA, she worked for Deloitte Consulting as part of their HR Transformation Group focused on HR processes and performance management before moving to Nokia Communications to serve as their Internal Communications Manager for North America. She enjoys volunteering in the community and served as Treasurer for a Parent Teacher Club at a local school where she also coached six seasons for Girls on the Run. Outside the office, Christine enjoys running, cooking, gardening, reading, and spending time with her husband and two daughters.
Nicole Feller Lee shares the good news about CFOSR. She is the wordsmith and creative vision behind the Foundation’s annual report, Giving Matters newsletters, and informational videos as well as other branding and external communications. Previously, Nicole was a vice president at Focus Media in Goshen, N.Y. The Founder and Executive Director of The Corinne Feller Memorial Fund created in memory of her sister, Corinne Feller, Nicole successfully promotes events, raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for ovarian cancer awareness, research and quality of life initiatives. The fund was the first to be administered by CFOSR. A former television journalist, Nicole worked as an anchor, reporter and producer at stations throughout the Hudson Valley and earned a Cable Ace Award for journalistic excellence. Additionally, Access Supports for Living awarded her with its Heart of Gold Community Service Award. Nicole is a certified library media specialist and an expert researcher with extensive knowledge in the field of education. She holds a master’s degree from Long Island University, a bachelor’s degree from St. Joseph’s University and is a 2022 Leadership Orange graduate. Nicole and her husband, Rob, have two sons, Cory and Holden.
Skylar Strauss serves as the Communications and Administrative Associate, supporting the organization’s communications and day-to-day operations. She is a 2022 graduate of Emerson College, where she majored in Visual and Media Arts and minored in Philosophy. Her experience spans tourism, nonprofit, lifestyle, and media spaces, with additional experience in the broadcasting, film and podcasting industries. With an always developing background in strategic communications, public relations, and multimedia storytelling, Skylar is passionate about using thoughtful communication to strengthen community connections and advance mission-driven work.
In her free time, Skylar enjoys reading, listening to her favorite musicals, and spending time with her family. An Orange County native, she currently resides in Newburgh with her partner, Andrew and kitty, Gus.
